System Backup Preferences

The System Backup Preferences or properties dialog box allows a user to change the way the System conduit will synchronize the data between the Handheld and Outlook for applications that do not have a conduit. To get to the System Backup Preferences dialog box, select the System application in the Change Synchronization Preferences dialog box, (this will highlight the line), and click the "Change..." button on the right panel.

From the System Backup Preferences dialog box, you can change the permanent action for the HotSync process and the "One-time Action on next HotSync". To change the permanent action for HotSync, click the bullet next to the desired action. This will be the new permanent action. To change the "One-time Action on next HotSync" setting, click the bullet next to the desired action. This will override the permanent action the next time you HotSync your Handheld and then revert back to the permanent action.
