How it Works
Echo provides wireless synchronization over your local area Wi-Fi network. The synchronization and data transfers are made only over the local network, Calendar and Contact information is never passed over the internet. The PC and Pre must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network and Wi-Fi is required to use this product.
The handheld version is available through the Palm App Catalog and the PC component is available for download at www.chapura.com/csm.
At the end of the desktop installation, you will create a Chapura SyncManager Account which is used to establish and maintain the relationship between Pre and the PC. Synchronizations are initiated from Pre. When one begins, Echo contacts our servers, our servers locate the PC and broker the connection between the two. The synchronization is performed on your local PC and your PIM data is transfer over your local network.
