Does FolderMirror transfer categories?
Yes, FolderMirror can transfer categories assigned to items from secondary folders to the main. To enable this feature:
- Open the FolderMirror settings: click on Start | All Programs or Programs | FolderMirror | FolderMirror.
- On the FolderMirror settings dialog: click on File | Preferences…
- Select "Copy Outlook Categories."

How does FolderMirror work?
FolderMirror allows you to stay connected to any Outlook Calendar, Contacts and Tasks folders by replicating the items in those folders in your main Outlook Calendar, Contacts or Tasks folder. FolderMirror then monitors the folders and provides real time updates. Once in your main Outlook Calendar, Contacts or Tasks folder, your existing Outlook conduit (wireless or cabled) can then transfer those items to your mobile device.

Why would I buy FolderMirror instead of PocketMirror or KeySuite?
FolderMirror is designed for users that have an exiting Outlook synchronization solution (wireless or cabled) and want to carry addition folders on their device. FolderMirror is a companion to your existing synchronization solution. It replicates items from multiple Outlook folders into your main Outlook folders allowing your current synchronization conduit to transfer the data to your device. FolderMirror does not synchronize items from Outlook to your device. Both PocketMirror and KeySuite are synchronization solutions that transfer items from Outlook to Palm OS or Windows Mobile devices.
