Details | System Requirements | How it works | Version History How It Works FolderMirror allows you to stay connected to any Outlook Calendar, Contacts and Tasks folders by replicating the items in those folders in your main Outlook Calendar, Contacts or Tasks folder. FolderMirror then monitors the folders and provides real time updates. Once in your main Outlook Calendar, Contacts or Tasks folder, your existing Outlook conduit can then synchronize those items to your mobile device.
The replicated items will be filtered from your view in Outlook providing a transparent flow of information from any Outlook Calendar, Contacts and Tasks folders to your mobile device.
FolderMirror will now synchronize changes made to the replicated item in the main Outlook folder or on the device back to the original item in Public Folders and Subfolders. Changes made to the replicated items from BCM folders or SharePoint folders in the main Outlook folder or on the device will be move to the conflicts folder and replaced by the original item.
FolderMirror assigns replicated items a category that corresponds to the name of the items original folder with an asterisk (*) at the beginning of the category name. If your current Outlook conduit transfers category names to the device, this will automatically organize these items into folder-like categories on your device allowing you to quickly identify when items belong to which Outlook folder on your device.
Because this is a client side application, FolderMirror can only update information while the user is logged in and Outlook is open. Closing Outlook, logging out or shutting down the PC will prevent changes made in secondary folders from being updated in the main folder. Once the user has logged back in and opened Outlook, all changes will be detected and the appropriate updates will be made in the main folder.
